As temperatures move towards the upper part of the thermometer, which probably hasn't been touched in many months, Carhartt has created pants and khaki shorts with lighter weight material to keep you cooler during those hot summer work days. Carhartt added four new shorts for the 2010 spring release and kept many of the styles from the previous spring launches. We received the Carhartt B275 Utility Short in a few weeks ago and many guys are saying great things about this short. With the cargo-like pockets on the side of the short, you will have plenty room to hold tools. The 13-inch seam gives the wearer a fit that will put the short right below their knee.
The
other short that has customers buzzing about is the Carhartt B283 Twill
Work Short. With a 10-inch inseam, the two back pockets, and a cell
phone pocket this short is very simple. That's what the guys like about
the short too. The comments we've heard about it: "it's a very simple
short, I don't need all the pockets" and "I like the twill fabric, its
light but feels like its going to last." There is a new camouflage short
if you are looking for that (Carhartt 289), but the rest of the shorts
didn't have many changes for 2010.
If the boss says you must wear
pants in the summer time and you are looking for something lightweight
to keep you cool, Carhartt has you covered. Carhartt's B260 Canvas
Utility Pant and B299 Canvas Khaki pants are both lighter weight to keep
you cool. The Canvas Utility Pant is constructed with only a 7.5-ounce,
100% ring-spun cotton canvas. This is the lightest weight that Carhartt
has made, but with the multiple utility and tool pockets they are a
great pant for the jobsite. If you don't need all the pockets though,
Carhartt's B299 Canvas Khaki pant could be the lightweight choice for
you. This relaxed fit pant (one of Carhartt's less roomy fits) has a
very classy look. With the 8.5-ounce canvas it will be tough and be able
to handle work that might come up while wearing these pants.
No matter what kind of bottom you are looking for shorts,
most likely Carhartt has a pant or short for you this spring. Many
different colors, styles and fits to pick from so no reason to be left
sweating in those 13 oz. work dungarees.
